October 18-22

 Hello families, 

This week in Math, the grade 2 students were working on writing their number words up to twenty. The grade three students were representing two and three digit numbers using expanded form and number words as well. We practiced this skill towards the end of the week by learning how to write a cheque, including writing our signatures in cursive writing. 

Grade 2- I can write number words up to Twenty

Grade 3- I can represent 3 digit numbers in different ways. 

In honour of Remembrance Day, we will be collecting items for the Veteran’s Food Bank. If you are able to contribute, please begin sending items to school on Monday, October 25^th. We will continue to collect donations until Wednesday, November 10^th. 

 

Here is a list of their most desired contributions:

Collection list: (new items only please) 

• Gluten free non-perishable food
• Canned corn, mushrooms, beef, chilli or stew
• Canned ham or luncheon meat
• Juice
• Flour
• Unscented fabric softener and laundry detergent
• Unscented lotion
• Dishwasher pods
• Bandages
